The Borough is governed by a seven member Council and Mayor.  Council meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm in the Borough Building.  Work Sessions will be held the forth Wednesday of each month.  The public is welcome to attend.

Police protection for our Borough is contracted through the South Abington Township Police Department, headed by Chief Robert Gerrity.  All emergency calls (police/fire/ambulance) are handled through the Lackawanna County Communications Center - dial 911.  Non-emergency calls are handled through the police department office at 586-2111 during regular business hours, after hours call 342-9111.

Borough residents are required to pay a local 1/2% local tax on wages, commissions and other sources of earned income.  If your wage tax is deducted by your employer, it is imperative that your payroll department be informed that you are a resident of CLARKS GREEN BOROUGH and that your tax code is 207.  The wage tax collector is Berkheimer, www.hab-inc.com or 610-599-3139.

Property owners also pay a county tax, billed through the Lackawanna County Single Tax Office in Scranton.  The school district is Abington Heights.
